Shrao Engineering is a leading manufacturer of OFWF coolers. We have been manufacturing these coolers for over 8 years and have a proven track record of providing high-quality, reliable products.
Both OFAF and OFWF coolers are required in oil-immersed transformers. The heat generated in the core and winding is transferred to the oil. These two types of coolers are use to cool down the oil using forced air (using external blowers) or water.
In OFAF coolers, oil is circulated with the help of a pump. The oil circulation is forced through the heat exchangers. Then compressed air is forced to flow on the heat exchanger with the help of fans. The heat exchangers may be mounted separately from the transformer tank and connected through pipes at the top and bottom as shown in the figure.
The working principle of OFWF cooler is similar to that of OFAF cooler, but here forced water flow is used to dissipate heat from the heat exchangers. The oil is forced to flow through the heat exchanger with the help of a pump, where the heat is dissipated in the water which is also forced to flow. The heated water is taken away to cool in separate coolers. This type of cooling is used in large transformers having ratings of several hundred MVA.
Shrao Engineering OFWF coolers are designed to meet the highest standards of quality and performance. We offer a wide variety of coolers to meet the needs of our customers. Our coolers are available in a variety of sizes and configurations to meet your specific requirements.
